Chantilly Chantilly was founded in 1725 by Louis Henry de Bourbon. From 1725 until 1751 Ciquaire Cirou was director and this is when the most famous pieces were made using a very white tin glaze. Most of the pieces in this time period were Kakiemon based designs. The period of 1755 until 1780 were also of great importance for Chantilly porcelain but then the factory declined and was closed around 1800. I have some nice pieces showing the different periods of the factory.
