Chantilly Plate

This is a very rare plate made by Chantilly around 1760. It is made of softpaste and painted with a nice flower arrangement in colors very different from what we are used to on hardpaste porcelain. This is probably my favorite plate. Nice basketweave relief to rim as well as a brown trim to the outside edge. The plate is in super condition - with a tiny bit of wear and a small chip to the underside of the rim. It is marked underneath with the iron red hunting horn mark as well as a black D. which is probably the painters mark. The plate is almost 9.5 inches in diameter and 1.25 inches tall. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
