Floral Serving Dish

This is a nice serving dish made by Chantilly in the 18th century. It is made of soft paste porcelain and hand painted with a superb large floral arrangement as well as two medium sized and two smaller ones plus a single flower. Gold trim to the nicely shaped edge. The flowers are of especially good quality and definitely a copy of Sevres ones but I have to say they are even nicer! The bowl is in great condition with just some very minor wear and some use marks. It displays superbly! Some manufacturing flaws to the underside some of which were repaired in the factory which is always interesting. Definitely and early example by this amazing maker! It is marked underneath with the green hunting horn mark as well as the letter D as shown. The dish is 1.5 inches tall and 8.75 inches in diameter.
