Kakiemon Tea Cup

This is a superb teabowl / beaker made by Chantilly around the mid 18th century. It is made of soft paste porcelain and painted with an amazing flower design on both the front and the back and four tiny black bird like designs to one side. The flowers are painted in the superb and famous Kakiemon colors. Brown trim to the top edge. The flowers are superb and after their Japanese Arita area originals as are the colors off course. The dish is in superb condition with some age realted minor wear - about as nice as one could hope for! The tea cup is marked underneath with their red hunting horn mark as shown. Typical green translucency! The piece is 2.625 inches tall with a diameter of 3 inches. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $849
