Polychrome Floral Teabowl Cup

This is a superb teabowl shaped cup made by Chantilly in the first half of the 18th century. It is made of softpaste porcelain and very delicately potted. That in combination to the superb hand painted polychrome flowers all around make it a very elegant example of their work. It has a larger floral arrangement on one side with two smaller flowers to the other side and a blossom in between with another small single flower on the bottom inside. Brown trim to the edge. The flowers are superb and the piece looks very much like a Meissen piece from this period except nicer due to their amazing enamels and the soft paste porcelain. The cup displays nicely but has a flat chip to the top edge as shown and a few spots of green enamel flaking - a common issue on 18th century porcelain. An easy fix for any restorer and well worth it! It is not marked underneath except for an incised number 4 as shown. The piece is 1.625 inches tall and 3 inches in diameter. A rare find and a real beauty! Please email me for more information or other pictures.
