Two Quail Pattern Saucer

This is a superb saucer made by Chantilly around the mid 18th century. It is made of soft paste porcelain and painted with their amazing enamels in polychrome. Here we have the famous two Quails pattern found on porcelain from all sorts of makers - from Bow to Meissen to Worcester , etc. They used their superb Kakiemon style colors and the edge has a nice indent to it isntead of a trim. Looks stunning! The flowers are superb and after their Japanese Arita area originals as are the colors off course. The dish is in great condition with some wear to the glaze and enamels common on soft paste pieces but it displays superbly. The saucer is marked which is kind of a bonus as it is not always the case. The piece is just over 1 inch tall with a diameter of 4.375 inches.
