Quatrefoil Kakiemon Dish

This is a superb quatrefoil dish made by Chantilly around 1750. It is made of softpaste porcelain and painted with a flower design in the Kakiemon colors as well as one bug. Brown trim to the edge. The flowers are superb and after their Japanese originals as are the colors off course. The dish is in good condition with some wear mainly to the one spot where the riased part of the dish would ahve hit other dishes when stacked and on the rim. There are two flat chips to the edge which don;t take away from the piece and could easily be fixed if need be. One chip to the footring. It is marked underneath with the reddish hunting horn mark. The dish is 8.75 inches wide, 7 inches deep and almost 1.5 inches tall. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
