Nice Marked Floral Plate

This is a really nice and rare plate made by the Chantilly factory of France in the 18th century. It is made of soft paste porcelain which has this warm creamy color to it and is hand painted with their super enamel colors which melt into the glaze. It's what makes soft paste pieces so much nicer than hard paste! The piece is decorated with a nice floral arrangement in the center as well as two smaller flowers and four bugs on the rim. The nicely shaped edge has a brown trim to it. The plate is in great condition with no chips, etc. but there is a touch of stacking wear to the white area and lots of firing spots which is a manufacturing flaw very common to these early pieces. It displays superbly and is a marked example which is nice! It has their blue hunting horn mark with the letter D below it as shown. The plate is 9.25 inches in diameter and 1.125 inches tall.
