Floral Plate #7

This is a plate made by Chantilly in the 18th century. It is made of soft paste porcelain and handpainted with four nice floral arrangements in the center as well as a smaller one and a small single flower. (Very much reminiscent of Sevres plates of the period) The nicely shaped edge has a basket weave design to the paste and a greenish yellow trim (the color changes betwen a dirty orange to a light brown between all these plates). The plate is in superb condition with just the usual use marks to the clear glaze which are common on softpaste porcelain but don't take away from the piece at all! One scratch does go through the purple rose but it is not that obvious. It is marked underneath with the puce hunting horn mark as well as the letter C and an incised mark that's hard to make out. It is 9.625 inches in diameter and 1.125 inches tall. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
