Sevres Mark Plate #2

This is a nice plate made by Chantilly in the 18th century. It is made of soft paste porcelain and hand painted with a design after the famous Sevres designs for their larger dinner services that are still a favorite among collectors today. The two blue trim lines with the double small gold lines are the base of that design. Lots of floral arrangements as well as single flowers all over the plate as well as a small bug and a gold trim to the edge. The rim has a basketweave design to the paste. The plate even has a fake Sevres mark underneath but at least they also added their hunting horn mark to it to not totally try to fool the buyers. Never seen anything like that from them. The plate is in superb condition with some very minor age related wear and use marks plus a small flaw on the blue lines going around the center well but about as good as you can hope for. It displays perfectly and looks great! Marked as mentioned with the interlaced double L mark as well as a green hunting horn with a letter L underneath and an incised hunting horn as well - another thing I have not seen before! Really a very interesting plate that might have been intended as a replacement piece back then. The piece is 9.75 inches in diameter and 1.125 inches tall.
