Chantilly Blue & White Cup & Saucer

This is a cup and saucer made by Chantilly in the 18th century during the period when they were not allowed to use gilding nor colors due to the decree from the king to protect his Sevres manufactory. Nice blue trim and handle shape. The cup and saucer is in great condition with a tiny bit of wear to the clear glaze typical of softpaste porcelain and it in no way takes away from the piece. Also a small shallow chip to the footring of the cup possibly from the making. It is unmarked underneath except for an incised letter or number on both pieces I cannot quite make out. Unmarked pieces are not uncommon during this time period. The saucer is 1 inch tall and 5.25 inches in diameter. The cup is 2.5 inches tall and 2.625 inches in diameter.
