Vase with Tree

This is a superb potpurri vase (I think) which was made by Chantilly around 1735-40. It is made of softpaste porcelain and is in the form of a pot with a tree next to it. The pot is decorated with a red criss cross pattern and has floral vines attached to it. The pot sits on a nice base decorated in green and brown tones mostly with a few flower attached to it with a tree next to the pot that is nicely modeled and also has some flowers attached to it. All in all a fun piece and Chantilly porcelain is very ahrd to find these days especially pieces that are not dishes. The potpourri displays nicely but has its issues which is pretty common to porcelain this old. The pot would have had a lid either porcelain or possibly metal. There is a bit of damage to the floral vines on the pot with four leaves chipped, a piece of vine lacking and a flower missing but it's not bad. The base had a small piece broken out which was reattched and the damage painted over and a larger chunk was cleanly borken out through the tree and base and reattached and covered though no porcelain seems to be missing except a sliver. Damage to the branches of the tree and flowers much of it has been restored. The large multi colored petal flowers seem to be a bit odd so I am not sure they are original though they fit the colors of the other flowers so likely at least that they are Chantilly and probably original but I jsut figured I'd mention it. All in all a rare and fun piece to look at and it displays nicely. The piece is about 6 inches tall, 6 inches wide and 5 inches deep. The porcelain is not makred which is the norm!
