Floral Plate #6

This is a plate made by Chantilly in the 18th century. It is made of soft paste porcelain and handpainted with three nice floral arrangements in the center as well as two smaller ones. (Very much reminiscent of Sevres plates of the period) The nicely shaped edge has a basket weave design to the paste and a yellowish brown trim (the color changes betwen a dirty orange to a light brown between all these plates). The plate is in superb condition with just the usual use marks to the clear glaze which are common on softpaste porcelain but don't take away from the piece at all! The bottom center of the bowl has sagged a tiny bit so it touches the table right there so it wobbles a tiny bit - no big deal. It is marked underneath with the puce hunting horn mark as well as the letter G and an incised T. It is 9.5 inches in diameter and 1 inch tall.
