Rare Kakiemon Cup & Saucer

This is a superb trembleuse cup and saucer made by Chantilly around 1735. Always wanted to have one of these! The set is made of soft paste porcelain and hand painted with a polychrome flower design in the Kakiemon colors and style. Their enamel colors are just stunning on that white background! The flowers are after their Japanese originals as are the colors off course. The sucer has a large floral design to one side and a smaller one as well as a bug to the other. Two leaf designs in between and a brown trim to the edge. The well ahs a ring around it to keep the cup in place. The cup has a really nice and unusual shape to it with a floral design all around, a bit of red trim to the handle and brown trim to the edge. The set is in great condition with two restored spots to the ring around the well of the saucer as shown and a chip to the inside foot ring underneath. Nothing major. Tiny bit of wear to the trim. The cup top edge has two indents to it which are from when it was made and the trim color goes into them. The set displays perfectly and is a very rare example of their work. The cup is marked underneath with the red hunting horn mark as shown while the saucer is unmarked. The saucer is 4.875 inches in diameter and 1 inch tall. The cup is 2.75 inches tall and has a top diameter of 2.125 inches which is a bit wider at the bulbous part. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
