Spittoon

This is a very hard to find spittoon made by Worcester in the 18th century. It has a nice shape to it and is decorated with a really nice floral design in under glaze blue all around including a larger floral arrangement to one side, a smaller ones on the other side as well as a small floral design and three bugs to fill in the rest of the space plus four more floral designs to the underside top rim. Three floral arrangements and a bug to the top inside rim. A really fun piece to look at if you can get over the purpose of this piece a little bit :) The larger top bowl with the central opening going into the smaller bottom bowl part like a funnel. The piece is marked underneath with their under glaze crescent mark as shown. The piece is 4.5 inches tall with a top diameter of 4.875 inches.
