Round Pine Cone Basket W/ Handles

This is a superb large round reticulated basket with handles made by Worcester in the 18th century. It is decorated with a great under glaze blue design including flowers, leaves and fruit / berries and the pine cones which lend it the name pine cone pattern. Nice blue design along the inside rim. Each handle has a touch of blue trim to it as well. The outside of the rim has lots of molded blue & white flowers to it and each handle terminal has leaves and flowers to it as well. A really nice basket that is in superb condition with just one of the tips of one leaf of the handle terminal chipped a bit. It displays perfectly. The basket is marked with their under glaze blue crescent mark underneath as shown. The piece is 2.25 inches tall without the handles (3 inches with) and has a diameter of 8.5 inches.
