Superb Reticulated Vase w/Griffons #1

This is a really superb vase made by Worcester in 1880. The vase is as fancy as they come with three taller openings that have a reticualted ring around the bottom as well as four smaller and lower ones. Each end has a winged creature similar to a Griffon to it that are painted in bronze tones and there is lots of relief design around the base and sides of the piece that are highlighted with gilding. It's a stunning looking piece which would look amazing with some flowers in it. The piece is in great condition with a small chip to the top edge of two of the larger openings and to one of the wing tips as well as a tiny one to another as shown but it does display perfectly. The vase is 7.25 inches tall, 8.75 inches wide and 2.75 inches deep. It is marked underneath with the puce Worcester mark with the date letter R for 1880 as well as the impressed Worcester mark, some incised numbers and the gilt letter BK as shown.
