Dry Blue Floral Cup & Saucer

This is a superb cups and saucer set made by Worcester around 1770. The set is hand painted with their famous dry blue flowers and a nice dentil gold trim to the edges. Great handle shape of the intertwined branches with a touch of gold trim to the terminals, The set is in great condition with a very faint hard to see hairline to one of the branches of the bottom terminal likely the same that resulted in a stained line to the inside in that location. Perfectly stable and not going anywhere. Very minor touch of wear to the gilding. The set displays perfectly! The blue color is amazing and the combination of that and the gold trim makes the set look quite elegant! Plus hand painted pieces are not that easy to find as most of their wares are transfer printed. The saucer is unmarked while the cup has the rare under glaze blue crossing swords mark with the number 9. as shown. The cup is 2.625 inches tall and has a diameter of 2.375 inches. The saucer is 1 inch tall and has a diameter of just over 4.75 inches. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
