Powder Blue & Floral Cup & Saucer

This is a superb early cup and saucer made by Worcester around 1770 during their first period. One of my new favorite pieces! Both pieces are hand painted with three fan shaped floral panels on white ground with three circular panels in between with the rest having an amazing powder blue ground color and some very nice gilding. A stunning combination! The quality of the painting and gilding is top notch. An amazing set that is as good as it gets for this sort of design. The cup and saucer are both in perfect condition with some wear to the gilding along the edge mostly of the cup. The cup is 1.5 inches tall and has a diameter of just over 3 inches. The saucer is about 0.875 inches tall and has a diameter of just over 4.5 inches. The saucer has the rare red crescent mark while the cup has an older label underneath which might be hiding the mark or it could be unmarked which is common as well. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
