Large Polychrome Basket

This is a superb reticulated basket made by Worcester around 1770. It is handpainted with a large polychrome floral arrangement on the bottom inside with lots of smaller flowers all along the rim. The outside of the basket has a yellow ground color that is slightly uneven in tone with black flowers along the bottom and applied puce and green flowers all along the reticulated part. An amazing basket and about as good as it gets from Worcester! The basket is in great condition with a tiny bit of wear and one arch of the top rim has been worked on. Doesn't look like anything major and it was done perfectly and is close to impossible to spot! The basket is unmarked underneath which is not unusual at all. It is 2.5 inches tall and has a diameter of 8.375 inches. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
