Polychrome Floral Plate

This is a nice plate made by Worcester in about 1770. It is handpainted with a bouquet of flowers in the center as well as lots of smaller single flowers with a relief moulded basketweave pattern to the rim and a gild lobed edge. The plate displays superbly but there has been a little work done on the edge though nothing major. An area of crazy overpaint reveals minor work underneath when held to a bright light. The plate is unmarked which is not unusual but there is an almost identical one in the V&A museum if you want to have a reference. The piece is 1.125 inches tall and has a diameter of 8.25 inches.
