Polychrome Floral Dinner Plate

This is a rare dinner size plate plate made by Worcester in about 1770. It is hand painted with two floral arrangements as well as many single flowers and four leaves. The rim has a relief moulded basketweave pattern to it and a brown trim to the nicely shaped. The plate is in great condition with some stacking wear to one of the smaller flowers as shown and a touch of general wear but it displays superbly and is a rare survivor! A bit of a mess on the udnerside center from the kiln but it does not affect the piece. I ahve seen that issue from time to time on Worcester plates. It sagged a bit during the firing process and thus has stuff stuck to it. Does not sit perfectly flat on the counter because of it. The plate is unmarked which is not unusual but the qay the flowers are painted and their colors give this piece away easily. The piece is 1 inch tall and has a diameter of 9.75 inches. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
