Plantation Pattern Tankard

This is a nice large tankard made by Worcester in the 18th century. It is decorated with the Plantation pattern based on a Chinoiserie design I am sure. It includes a fenced in garden on one side and the house on the other with lots of trees and rocks and even two birds. All in under glaze blue. Typical handle shape with the groove in the middle. A really nice looking piece of the perfect size to have your beer in :) The piece is marked underneath with the under glaze blue hatched crescent mark as shown. The mug is in superb condition with a firing flaw to the handle and another to the inside side wall from when it was made. Normal to the early pieces that are now about 250 years old. No real damage which is nice! The tankard is 5.875 inches tall and 4 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $699
