E. Phillips Signed Vase

This is an amazing vase made by Worcester in 1903 if I got the dating correct. The nicely shaped vase has a superb snake shaped handle to either side, a "pearl" trim to the top edge as well as around the center and sits on a nice base. The main body body as well as each handle has a superb cobalt blue ground color to it with lots of gold highlights. Many of the designs and that color combination reminds me of Sevres porcelain. My favorite part though are the hand painted crocus and snowdrop flowers going all around the center with the raised floral gold design underneath. Jsut stunning! The piece is signed E. Phillips as shown. Ernest Phillips worked for them from 1890 until 1932 and mainly did flowers and still life scenes of superb quality! A stunning vase with the added bonus of being signed! The vase is in perfect condition with just a touch of wear to the very top edge and the corners of the base. The underside of the base is marked with a few marks as shown including the typical Worcester mark with the dots as a dating system, the registration mark a number 2126 as a model number I believe, a 19 or 61 as well as a red 2 as artist marks and some impressed marks as well. The entire vase is 7.75 inches tall, 6.125 inches wide and 4.75 inches deep. I have a matching piece that is not signed if anyone is interested in a pair. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
