Script W Mark Plate

This is a great plate / soup bowl made by Worcester in the 18th century. A really nice plate but the real reason I bought it is the mark since I did not have an example with this mark before on my site :) The piece is hand painted with a floral arrangement in the center in polychrome with the edge having a cobalt blue ground color to it and lots of very nice gilding over that. Swags of flower garlands in purple are coming of that with a little pink flower at the low points of the blue and gold design where it meets the floral garlands. Very nice to look at! A very elegant plate and the gilding is just superb! The plate is in perfect condition with just some very very minor wear. As nice as you can hope to find. The dish is 1.375 inches tall and has a diameter of 8.25 inches. It is marked with their blue script W mark as shown in under glaze blue. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $599
