Miniature Fruit Scene Coffee Set

This is a superb miniature coffee set made by Royal Worcester in the mid 20th century. The entire set is hand painted with their famous fruit still life type design that is so popular with collectors. Floral finials to the lids andlots of gold trim. The set includes a coffee pot with its lid, two cups and saucers, a creamer and a sugar pot with its lid. The cups are especially nice since it is painted on the inside and the outside! The pieces are all signed by the artist except for the lids. Looks to be the signatures of William Roberts and John Freeman both of which are quite sought after! William Roberts started working at the factory in 1930 and had a long career specializing in fruit painting, especially on miniatures. Freeman joined the factory in 1925 and is also very much known for his fruit paintings. The entire set is in perfect condition! They are all marked with the black Worcester mark underneath as shown with a W between Worcester and made in England. Some pieces ahve one dots next to the W for 1951 and some have two dots for 1952. The teapot is 4.875 inches tall, 3.75 inches from handle to spout and 2.25 inches in diameter. Each cup is 1.125 inches tall and has a diameter of 2 inches. Each saucer has a diameter of 3.375 inches.
