Lilypad Teapot

This is a superb teapot made by Worcester in 1888/1889 during the aesthetic period. It is superbly modeled with a lilypad type design that is handpainted in red and gold to look stunning on the ivory colored porcelain. The pot and lid are in great condition with one small chip to the inside spout rim which would be hidden completely by just adding a touch of gilding! It is 6 inches tall, about 8 inches from spout to handle and 5.5 inches wide. Both the main body and lid are marked with the puce Worcester mark as well as a red painter's mark. Year code Z under the teapot and O under the lid. Really a superb specimen for this period! Please email me for more information or other pictures.
