Large Pinecone Basket

This is a superb large reticulated basket made by Worcester in the 18th century. It is decorated with an under glaze blue design called the pine cone pattern that includes flowers, leaves and fruit / berries (a pair that looks liek pine cones) with a nice reticulated rim highlighted with a blue design along the top. The outside of the rim has lots of attached molded blue & white flowers to it. An really nice basket that is in perfect condition except for some minor use marks to the glaze on the bottom inside which is to be expected after over 200 years. The basket is marked with their under glaze blue crescent mark underneath as shown. The piece is 2.625 inches tall and has a diameter of 9 inches.
