Blue Scale Ground Kakiemon Cup & Saucer #5

This is a superb early cup and saucer made by Worcester around 1760 during their first period. Both pieces are hand painted with three superb kakiemon floral scenes as well as lots and lots of single flowers surrounded by some very nice gilding. The quality of the painting is top notch and the area between the cartouches are filled with their famous blue scale design ground. An amazing set that is as good as it gets for them. The cup and saucer are both in perfect condition with some very very minor wear. The cup is 1.875 inches tall and has a diameter of just under 3 inches. The saucer is about 1 inch tall and has a diameter of 5.125 inches. Each piece is marked with their square fret mark underneath in under glaze blue as shown.
