Hoho Bird Waste Bowl

This is a slop or waste bowl made by Worcester in the 18th century. It is hand painted with the Sir Joshua Reynolds pattern decorated including the HoHo bird which I jsut love. The colorsof the design are stunning with the turquoise, red and yellow just popping. The panels in between the colorful scenes are painted with a red and white circular pattern with a blue ground around it and some nice gold highlights on top of the blue. There are two panels with the HoHo bird in it and two with more simple yet colorful flowers plus the four cobalt blue panels deviding them up. A stunning design and really nice to see on a bowl like this. Blue trim along the bottom edge of the bowl. The piece is in great condition with the floral design to the inside bottom of the bowl being quite worn from use but otherwise it is in excellent shape. The piece is marked with the blue hatch mark to the underside as shown. The bowl is 3.125 inches tall and 6.5 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
