Harry Davis Sheep Scene Vase

This is a superb vase made by Royal Worcester around 1900. The piece has a baluster shape with a blush colored foot and neck with a bit of gold trim but the best part by far is the hand painted scene to the front of the main body of sheep in a landscape surrounding as well as a smaller landscape vignette of an old fir tree to the reverse. The sheep scene is stunning and super detailed. One of the best I have ever come across and it is signed by Harry Davis as shown! The vase displays nicely from the front but sadly it was drilled as a lamp and the base has been broken and restored in the past and then it rebroke but that is not visible when on display from the front and would not be a terribly expensive thing to have restored again and brought back to perfection! The piece is marked with the puce shape number 1847, a red S. and a black artist mark as shown. The puce circular Worcester mark would have been in the center but was drilled through and it now gone but there might be other marks hiding under the over paint of the underside. The vase has a really nice size being about 13 inches tall with a diameter of about 6.5 inches. Still an amazing piece even with the damage and it displays jsut fine as is n my cabinet!
