Worcester Grainger Scenic Pot

This is an interesting piece made by Worcester during the Grainger period of the early 19th century. I bought it as a vase but looking at the top rim I suspect it once had a lid and was likely a potpourri type piece though I ahve to way to confirm this. It is nicely hand painted with a scene to the front of three cherubs collecting clouds or wind or tornadoes in amphora vase like containers. Really not sure what that is meant to symbolize??!! They are standing on some greenery with a nice flower to either side. Very well done and nicer than many pieces one comes across from this period. The scene is surrounded by a nice gold frame with the rest of the vase having a super gold trim to it. The piece is in nice condition - it is likely missing a lid of some sort and there is a little wear to the gold trim mainly along the top edge, some fine crazing throughout typical of this period and a star hairline crack to the back as shown which does not distract when on display. The piece is marked underneath with the red Grainger Worcester mark as shown and has an old English antique store sticker as shown. The piece is 5.5 inches tall and 5.25 inches in diameter.
