Grainger Worcester Reticulated Cup & Saucer

This is an amazing reticulated cup and saucer made by Worcester about mid to later 19th century during the Grainger period. The saucer is reticulated and the cup is double walled with the outside wall also being reticulated. Not something you see often at all and very few makers made reticulated cups! I can only think of Sevres and a Chinese pieces I ahve owned before. .The reticulation is very intricate and the gilded band throughout makes it look very fancy! A bit of gold trim to the edges as well as a nice handle shape make this a very elegant set! The set is in superb condition with just some gold wear around the edge of teh well where the cup sits. They display perfectly! The saucer is 0.5 inches tall with a diameter of 5.25 inches. The cup is 2.5 inches tall and 2.75 inches in diameter. The saucer is unmarked while the cup has the a red numbers 1 over 900 as shown as well as the brown shield mark with Grainger & Co. Worcester underneath it.
