Jewelled Vase

This is an amazing vase on its pedestal made by Worcester in 1884. The pedestal which was fired together with the vase is nicely reticulated and highlighted with gilding and a row of blue dots which is repeated on the foot of the urn shaped vase. The rest of the vase is a cobalt blue ground color with some superbly done raised gilding and the best part little enamel 'jewels' I have previously only ever seen on Sevres porcelain. The jewels are set on real gold pieces and come in a translucent green, red and a white color. They form the flowers in the basket on one side and are part of the raised gold decoration on the front and back. An amazing look I have not seen before on this type of porcelain. The vase has two nicely shaped handles that are gilded. All in all one of my favorite new pieces. The vase is in good condition with a few jewels missing and the foot of the vase were it is thinnest was restored it seems since the color is slightly off though it was done very well! The base is marked with a few marks one being a green circular mark, a black circular mark, a green rectangular RN number and a black rectangular RN number. Looks to be 2999N so from 1884. The entire piece is 6.5 inches tall and the base is about 2.25 inches on the sides. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
