Dragon Cup

This is a superb cup and saucer made by Worcester in the 18th century. The set is hand painted with the Dragon in Compartments or Kylin pattern in superb colors and with lots of detail with an added bonus of the paste having a ribbed design to it to give it a nice shape. The cup is in great condition with a minor chip to the inside of the foot ring which doesn't take away from the piece and the saucer has some manufacturing flaws along the edge where little ash dust settled and burned into the piece. All part of the process back then and part of the charm today :) Three spots on the saucer where the paint is gone due to them being a bit raised or flaked off. Neither piece is marked which is fairly common for their early wares. The cup is just under 2.5 inches tall and has a diameter of 2.375 inches. The saucer is 1 inch tall and has a diameter of 5.5 inches. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
