Donut Tree Pattern Sauce Dish

This is a really nice sauceboat made by Worcester in about 1770. It was decorated with the " Donut tree pattern " a design made for us here in America if there ever was one :) in under glaze blue. A stunning design that covers most of the outside, a nice rim design to the inside and the name giving doughnut tree to the bottom inside growing on an island with a buidling next to it. Some birds and little boats to the side and another island above it with two more houses on it. Typical handle shape with a bit of blue trim to it. The sauce boat has a nice shape to it and is amazingly in the same condition as when it left the factory. Perfect! The sauce dish is unmarked underneath which is not unusual but has all the characteristics of early Worcester porcelain including the greenish translucency and the glaze gap near the inside foot ring. The piece is 2.875 inches tall including the handle, 7.125 inches long and 4.25 inches wide. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $599
