Fun Jabberwocky Plate

This is a really fun plate made by Worcester around 1760. It is hand painted with their famous Jabberwocky pattern which is very elegant and nicest they produced in my opinion. The center has the Kakiemon style design of the critter in some greenery. Nice colors are stunning on this piece and the turquoise is just out of this world! The rim has an amzing design to it with that mottled turquoise as well as some flowers and purple trim. Gilding to the edge and flowers. The porcelain is a nice shape as well with that wavy rim. This little plate is a great example of Worcester porcelain of the 18th century and is in superb condition with only some minor wear. It displays perfectly and looks amazing in my cabinet or on the wall. The piece in not marked which is not unusual. A nice early example. The plate is is 1.25 inches tall and 7.625 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
