Chinoiserie Scene Tankard

This is a tankard made by Worcester in the 18th century. It is decorated with two really nice Chinoiserie scenes in under glaze blue. One to either side. I belive one is called " La Promenade Chinoise " and the other " La Peche ". Typical handle shape with the groove in the middle. A really nice looking piece of the perfect size to have your beer in :) The piece is marked underneath with the under glaze blue hatched crescent mark as well as two letter Y or something like that. Probably a workman's mark. The mug is in superb condition with just some black firing spots along the top edge from when it was made and some other very minor issues from when it was made. No real damage which is nice! The tankard is 5.75 inches tall and 3.875 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $699
