Cannonball Teabowl & Saucer

This is a great cup and saucer made by Worcester in the 18th century. The set is decorated in under glaze blue with the so called cannonball pattern because of those solid round blobs all over the scene. Not a common pattern at all expecially on a teabowl shaped cup and saucer. The pattern is rather nice with two buildings in the scene, a coupe of fancy trees and off course the "cannonballs". Nice trim to the inside edge. Both the cup and the saucer are in great condition with the cup having a manufacturing flaw to the outside of the footring and lots of light tiny black spots from the firing process. Not unsual and not obvious when on display so they look great! Both are marked with the open blue crescent mark underneath. The cup is 1.75 inches tall and 3.125 inches in diameter. The saucer is 1 inch tall and 4.875 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $399
