Cabbage Leaf Jug

This is a cabbage leaf jug / pitcher made by Worcester around 1780. It is decorated with a fun underglaze blue design including a parrot sitting on a tree pecking at some fruit below him. A really nice piece with teh relief detail of the leaves and the blue decoration including two bugs, some berries and flowers. Nice handle shape with a bit of a blue design to that as well and a blue trim to the top outside and inside rim. Mascarone / face relief to the spout front which is just fun! The piece is in superb condition with some perfectly done restoration to nibbles along the top edge of the spout - a common issue on these pieces. No other issues at all. The jug is marked underneath with the under glaze blue crescent mark as shown. It is 9 inches tall, 7.75 inches wide (including the handle) and about 6 inches in diameter.
