Blue & White Butter Boat

This is a cute butter boat dish made by Worcester around 1760. Used for butter much like a sauce boat was used for sauce but thiese were probably for individuals rather than just one for the table. Nicely decorated with molded geranium leaves to the outside with a twig handle to one side. It is hand painted with blue flowers to the inside - a peony in the bottom and different flowers to the rim and even a tiny bug / insect. A really fun piece in as good a condition as you could hope for. Just a bit of kiln dust which is normal. The cup is not marked but that is nothing unusual! The leaf shaped dish is 1.375 inches tall, 3.375 inches long and 2.25 inches deep. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $499
