Blind Earl Sweetmeat Dish

This is a really nice blue and white dish made by Worcester around 1765. The porcelain is molded in the blind Earl pattern and hand painted in under glaze blue. It would have been used as a sweetmeat dish back in the day. A smaller piece but it makes a real impression. Just a superb look with the leaves and amazing bugs painted on it and that rose branch handle with the buds to one end and the leaves going into the plate. The blue is nice and strong. One of the nicest blue and white pieces I have had the pleasure of owning! The dish is in perfect condition. It is not marked underneath but has all the right characterisitc for Worcester of this period. The piece is is 1.375 inches tall at the handle, 6.25 inches wide and 6 inches deep.
