Bird Scene & Bugs Dessert Plate

This is a really nice & early plate made by Worcester around 1760. The piece is hand painted with three superb large polychrome bird scenes, three single birds as well as lots and lots of bugs. The birds and bugs are colorful and painted on white ground with the space in between the scenes painted in their superb cobalt blue scale ground color. Each scene as well as the center and the edge have gold trim around them. Quite fancy around the birds and bugs scenes. The quality of the painting is top notch! An amazing plate that is as good as it gets for them. A small plate that is probably meant for dessert. The plate is in great condition and displays perfectly but there is a restored chip to the edge as shown from both the top and bottom view. It is just under 1.125 inches tall and has a diameter of 7.5 inches. The plate is 1.875 inches tall and has a diameter of 5.75 inches. It is marked with their square fret mark underneath in under glaze blue as shown. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $749
