Polychrome Figurine

This is a super rare polychrome figurine made of softpaste porcelain by Tournai around 1765. The model has been attributed to Nicolas Lecreux and it is superbly done! A rare painted version as most one sees by them are in white. It is of a lady lying down and relaxing while a gentleman is standing over her with grapes all around and what used to be an arbour in the back. Obviously this piece has seen better days but the important parts are all there and the rest could fairly easily be taken care by a good restorer! The lady is in great shape with just some small chips to her hat. The guy has some small chips to his hat and is missing both hands. The grape vines are in decent shape with a little loss but the arbour is totally gone. There is a finiring crack that developed into a hairline through the base and underneath the gentleman and one side of the figurine was broken off and restored. Like I said it needs a bit of work but it would all be in white and should not be that difficult to get it back to perfection and a polychrome piece by them would be a truly fantastic addition to any collection. The figurine is unmarked but the style is typical of Tournay and I found another one in my references. It is 5.375 inches tall, 5.5 inches wide and 4 inches deep.
