Tournai Bird Scene Teapot Lid

This is a superb teapot lid made made by Tournai ( Tournay ) in the 18th century. It is hand painted with a nice little polychrome bird scene as well as another bird and a butterfly and has their typical acorn finial and a reddish brown trim ot the edge. It is made of soft paste porcelain. Their polychrome pieces are quite hard to find and very collectable especially when painted by the famous Henri-Joseph Duvivier which I don't think this piece here was though I am not an expert on that sort of thing and the scenes are too small for me to tell. The lid is in really nice condition with just a tiny flake to the inside ring as shown. It is unmarked which is normal but certainly made by them during this period! The piece is just under 1 inch tall in total and has a diameter of 1.875 inches. The outer diameter of the ring that would sit inside the opening is just over 1.375 inches.
