Polychrome Floral Plate #2

This is another superb plate made by Tournai in the 18th century. It is made of soft paste porcelain and hand painted with a nice polychrome floral arrangement in the center as well as four single flowers along the rim. Nicely shaped edge with a brown trim to the edge. I think Tournay flowers are among the very nicest of the porcelain world. They are amazing and the soft paste porcelain and its enamels are just perfect. Very hard to find. The plate is in good condition without any chip, repairs, etc but there are some use marks and wear to the plate though it displays very well. Wear to the glaze is quite normal to softpaste porcelain much more so than on hardpaste pieces. The piece is not marked underneath which is fairly normal on Tournay pieces of this period but has the typical green translucency and so called moons. The plate is 1.125 inches tall and 9.375 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
