Duvivier Scenic Saucer

This is a superb saucer made made by Tournai ( Tournay ) in the 18th century. It is hand painted with a puce scene including two people, a building, some trees and rocks and so on with a gold trim to the edge. This piece was most likely painted by the famous Henri-Joseph Duvivier (during 1763-71) who is very well known for his puce scenic pieces and fits his painting style perfectly. The underplate is made of soft paste porcelain and a beautiful creamy white color. It is in perfect condition which is rare with barely an signs of use. The saucer is marked underneath with the gold crossed swords mark with the little crosses all around as well as some incised marks by the foot ring. It is 0.875 inches tall and 5.25 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
