Tournai Custard Cup

This is a great pot de creme (lidded chocolate cup ) or pot au jus or lidded custard cup made by Tournai in the late 18th century. It is made of soft paste porcelain and was hand painted with a very nice and quite typical blue design all around the tio of the main body and the lid with a blue line trim to the bottom of the piece and a bit of blue trim to the handle wich has their typical shape. The lid has a nice fruit finial with two leaves. The lid has a little hole in it for venting steam. This pot and lid are in super condition - the only issues being that the handle is a bit crooked but that is not a big deal and one of the finial leaves has a bit of damage to it as shown. It displays perfectly! Both pieces are marked underneath with some blue letters / numbers as shown. The cup and lid are about 3 inches tall and 2.5 inches in diameter with the handle sticking out about 0.75 inches. These pieces are becoming very hard to find these days!
