Bird Scene Saucer

This is a superb saucer made made by Tournai ( Tournay ) in the 18th century. It is hand painted with a superb polychrome bird scene in the center including three birds in a landscape surrounding. Two birds are on the ground while one is sitting on a branch. A reddish brown trim to the dge. The scenes are quite hard to find and very collectable especially when painted by the famous Henri-Joseph Duvivier which I don't think this piece here was though I am not an expert on that sort of thing and might be wrong. I am sure someone out there can tell if it was. The piece is made of soft paste porcelain and a beautiful creamy white color with a greenish translucency typical for this maker. It is in great condition with some minor wear but does have some tiny black spots from the firing common to the early wares and all part of the charm. The saucer is marked underneath with and incised number 23 as shown - no factory mark which is pretty common for this maker. It is 0.875 inches tall and 5.375 inches in diameter.
