Bird Scene & Floral Plate

This is a really nice plate made made by Tournai ( Tournay ) in the 18th century. It is hand painted with a superb polychrome bird scene in the center including three birds in a landscape surrounding as well as a nice floral arrangement on the side of the well onto the rim, a smaller arrangement on the rim as well as a single flower. I ahve never seen the combination bird scene and floral arrangement by them and it is stunning! Brownish trim to the nicely shaped edge. The bird scenes are quite hard to find and very collectable especially when painted by the famous Henri-Joseph Duvivier which I don't think this piece here was though I am not an expert on that sort of thing. The piece is made of soft paste porcelain and a beautiful creamy white color with a greenish translucency typical for this maker. The plate is in as nice a condition as one could hope for. Just stunning! It is marked underneath with their factory mark of two swords with four plus signs all around as shown. The piece is 1.25 inches tall and 9.5 inches in diameter.
